Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is a glycoprotein secreted by the pituitary gland. It stimulates egg production in women to produce follicles for ovulation to occur. Recombinant human FSH (r-FSH) is produced in CHO cells as a heterodimeric protein composed of two different subunits.
